Guest guest
Hi Chrissie, Sorry to hear that you've not been too well. I haven't been on the computer for a few days, as i've been working and didn't get the chance (there is always a queue in our house with the kids using it for homework etc - at least that's what they tell me!!). Anyway, how are you doing now? Fliss menioned to me that you were considering a TP. As you know, i have had it done - without the ICT. It is a really big decision, and, of course, very individual. I had mine in August, 2000. Then, last November, i had further surgery to remove the piece of pancreas that was left which was preserving the blood supply to the doudenum. Since my last surgery my diabetes has been a little more difficult to control, but it's nothing i can't handle. I soon got used to giving myself the injections and monitoring my blood sugars. For me, my quality of life has been drastically improved by the surgery and i am glad i had it done, even despite needing the additional surgery in November. I hope that things are improving for you now. If i can help with any more information, please contact me. Best wishes, Sue (UK)
