Guest guest
Im sure the reason your hurting is from being off the preds. I was only on 60 mgs for 2 wks and then went down to 40, 20 and then 10, and 5 for 3 wks and when I got down to 5mgs my whole body hurt. My legs felt really bad. It does go away, so hang in there!!!!!
Guest guest
I promise one day soon I will be back to my old cheerful self. Wishing you all a healthy and happy week, Sorry , That your having a tough time of it. You hang in there it will get better. Yes, you can have withdrawals, that is one reason to quit slowly. I would run some info off on RP and give it to all of your doctors including your eye doctor, your really should be seeing an eye doctor who specializes in diseases of the eye. He should know about RP. Sorry I am venting now. lol Anyway, I hope your feeling better soon. Take care, Lu

Guest guest
Hi, I am sorry I have been away but for some reason the body just doesnt want to cooperate! I woke up last week with one eye bloddy red and half swollen. The Dr. gave me some steriod drops which made it go away but he didnt know what caused it or if it is RP related. When I say RP to both of my Dr.s they both say what is that. I tell them that is what I call my disease. I guess they never heard it called that. Okay this is what is going on. Just a reminder. I was on 1000 of pred a day for 1 week, then down to 280 for a month, then 8O a day till I went down 10 a week till completly off. I hope I made sense' I have been off for over a month and am having more weakness and hurting. Can you have withdrawals? For some reason my arms and legs feel like they weigh a ton, my fingers hurt terrible and my whole body is weak and achy. My regular Dr. says that I may have some other disease besides this. I told him I didnt have time and I already had my share thank you kindly. HAHAHA I already have arthirits but I have never had this before. I couldnt even raise my arms to put my nightgown on last night, for some reason nights are the hardest on me. During the day I can put my mind on other things but at night I just cant turn the pain off. Also my throat is on fire and it is getting harder to breath. I go to the Rhummy next week so I dread getting back on the pred if he thinks thats what I need. I am shedding all over my house and pretty soon there wont be anymore hair. Has anyone had any of these problems? Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF YOU WHO JUST CELEBRATED ONE AND TO THOSE WHO I WILL MISS IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!! I promise one day soon I will be back to my old cheerful self. Wishing you all a healthy and happy week,
