Guest guest
Talked to my PCP last night about my eye Dr. visit. I told her that he thinks my sugar level is elevated & that is causing my eye problems. She had my Ted test my sugar while we were on the phone & it was 138 & that was after I ate. She is not concerned right now. She said to take it a couple times a week & if it is in the 130's it is okay. If it is higher than the 170's I should call her. She also wants me to check when my eyes are blurred. So I am still in limbo for the eyes. Just don't understand it. We also talked about my throat & I will make an appt. today with the ENT to get scoped. She is leaving these things up to me as far as when I feel I need to be seen by the certain specialists. Since it is still so new to me I don't want to step on toes, but as far as the rheumy & ENT are concerned, I am free to see them as I need with her approval. I also told her about the snoring which I have had for years & she mentioned a sleep study for apnea. I don't think this is something I need to rush into & I just have all these other things going on right now, so that will have to wait. I am starting to feel better, at least mentally, although my ears are still bothering me, but nothing like the flare I started with. There are days my face swells more, I have had to take off my rings because of the swelling. Of course I have gained 30 lbs since I have been on the pred. I am crossing my fingers that the Imuran will start kicking in soon & will work for me. I know it's all trial and error until the right combination is found. I just wish I could walk or stand for a longer period of time, but my back is so bad I can only tolerate about 5 minutes. Just gotta take it a day at a time. Luv ya.
