Guest guest
I am a little lost, but from what I understand you are s sister and having pancreas problems correct ? If I am right then good. If not sorry ! I just wanted to comment. I am by no means educated and still have a long way to go but I can say from my experience you shouldnt wait on your gallbladder. My gallbladder is what kicked off pancreatitis for me. It was Sept 02 when I went to the ER with abdominal pain and when they diagnosed me with gallstones. At the same time starting from the ultasound tech, to the ER Dr I was told they were just pebbles, nothing big and that people lived with gallstones for years. That diagnois was sent over to a GI Dr who reviewed my Er visit and ultrasound. From there I was told immediate surgery wasnt necessary and was given the impression that I was in no hurry or need. Come Dec 6th 02 I end up in horrible pain, vommiting all day, nauseated, and constipated. I went into the ER and thats when my current GI Dr had a CT-scan done. That was a turning point. I hadnt had any pancreas problems before then. My so called " pebbles " actually blocked up my common bile duct and caused my pancreatitis. So GALLSTONES I do not take lightly. I would make sure your gallbladder is taken out regardless of what they say. This however is just my personal experience. My GI Dr also did a ERCP and put a " stent " in. That did not help me... Good Luck !!!! lyn
Guest guest
lyn, Yes my sister is having panc. problems. She has been hospitalized twice now since Dec. and has been sick in between to. I am just hoping the do something for her sooner than later before a lot of damage is done to her panc. Please pray for her, she is only 20 and in college, I don't want her to have to put her nursing plans on hold like I did. > > I am a little lost, but from what I understand you are s > sister and having pancreas problems correct ? > If I am right then good.
