Guest guest
Hi Leah- I can see your concern about the ear, but I wouldn't fret too much yet. Our therapist told me that it would take 4 months of continuous pressure for the band to effect the shape or fold of the ear in any way. Our son's DOCBand pressed down on his ear a little bit the first week and then they shaved a little off and it's been fine. It appears to be touching it, it is still so close to his hear, but it doesn't. So I would just take Shane in for another adjustment. They should just be able to shave a little more away so that it doesn't touch his ear. If they say they can't for some reason, I would make a fuss. It shouldn't sit like that the whole time he is wearing it. I can't tell from the pictures how much it is shifting. If it's only shifting in his sleep, I'm not sure I would worry. My son sleeps on his tummy with his butt in the air and his face digging into the mattress, so I'm sure his looks like it's shifting in his sleep as well. But when he's up and about during the day, it sits fine. How does Shane's look during the day? Please keep us posted! Guest guest
Hi again, I just rememembered that you were the one that posted about this being Shane's second Hanger helmet. I would go in and demand they make it fit better and if they can't, go somewhere else. That's awful. Good luck! Guest guest
I agree that it unacceptable for them to have made you a second bad band. In my opinion, Hangar had a chance to fix it and they didn't. That should be their one and only chance, and if it's at all possible for you, you should be looking for a new band provider. Please let us know how things go.
