Guest guest
The other drug site after rx.list that I mentioned last week was: http://www.drugdigest.org/ That's the one that will let you list all the medications you are taking and will give you the interactions with other foods, medicine and vitamins that you may be using. As I said in my earlier post, I've used Melatonin as a sleeping aid for a number of years, with no side effects whatsoever. My husband has used it frequently, also, since it is one of the few medications that he IS permitted to take. He's a pilot, and is restricted from taking nearly all prescription and OTC medications while working, in fact, he can't even eat buns or breads with poppy seeds on them, since they will show up positive as OPIUM on the urine drug tests that they randomly are required to take! Go figure! If he can take Melatonin, I would presume that if has few, if any, side effects. The ultrasound went well today. It was with the technician that I raved about a couple months ago, a woman that is very thorough and takes her time checking everything out, and explains what we are looking at each step of the way. I got to see my liver, gall bladder, pancreas, and of course, we did the hunt for my elusive 2nd pseudocyst near the tail of my pancreas. The walls of this one had sort of fallen in on itself during the test in September, now it's enlarged more and completely filled with calicification, making it hard to even see it's outline due to all of the stuff inside of it. It moves around a little bit and is positioned behind part of my colon, that's why it's hard to distinguish sometimes on the CT-scans, but we saw it clearly today. The larger pseudocyst near the head is also enlarged a tiny bit from the CT-scan taken three weeks ago and shows more area of calcification all around it. The areas surrounding both are nearly white with calcification. Due to all the pain and disablement I was still feeling 2-3 weeks after I got out of the hospital the last week in Oct., this came as no surprise to me. I knew they were still on the upswing because of the increased pain. The 24/7 pain didn't really slow down and subside some until about 7-10 days ago, so I'm hoping that meant that they've stopped growing. I'm doing better pain-wise, still needing some BT meds on top of the duragesic each day, but that's slowed down considerably, so I'm hopeful that these guys are settling down and are now going to " mature " and then shrink themselves away to oblivion!!!! Wishful thinking, I know, but I'll always believe in miracles! The day has worn me down, so I'm off to bed now. Thank you, , Deanna and Lin, for checking up on me.
