Guest guest
Hi , How strange.........I'm sorry you had that experience. My surgery was 5-31-00 and I've had beef a lot. Filet Mignon, Sirloin, Prime Rib, Pot Roast, London Broil, Ground Sirloin, Smothered Steak, Meatloaf, Lasagna, Mexican Food and probably others. The only time I threw up was after I ate a couple of bites of barbeque brisket. It came up as fast as it went down......it wasn't violent or anything, I just knew it wasn't going to stay down, I think it may have been the sauce. Did you fry the cubed steak????? If you did it might have been the oil. I still don't care much for fried foods. It sounds like you were definately " dumping " . The difficulty breathing may have been caused from a rapid pulse......this happened to me once when a ate a whole BLT sandwich. The first half went down so good and tasted so good, I decided to eat the second half.......BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! My pulse was rapid and hard and I could feel it in my throat...... That's the only time it happened. It is an adventure, isn't it!!!!!! Love, Genz sh@... wrote: > Hello Gang, > I wanted to share a bad experience I had with 'cubed steak' the other night....almost 10 weeks post-op and I have not had any red meat until the other night and it was just awful, awful! > > I was cooking up a couple of cube steaks as a treat for my two doggies (I know, I know they are spoiled aren't they), anyway as I was cutting it up, I thought, oh it looks yummy, I'll just have a couple of pieces (about 4)....few seconds later I felt just awful. > First it felt 'stuck' and then I was having difficulty breathing, (what the heck causes this pray tell - does anybody know?). I laid down for a bit, but no good, that cube steak decided it did not like me and was going out the same way it came in!!! - UGH! > > Has anybody else had a similar experience with steak? And what's up with the difficulty breathing? I can't fiqure this one out. This has happened to me before, maybe eating too fast? But still what's it got to do with breathing? Wierd, I don't know maybe it's just me! > I learned my lesson, I know I won't ever have a piece of cubed-steak (or any steak) any time soon! Thanks for listening everybody to my tale of woe. > > > MGB=5/26/00 > 38.5 lbs gone - yeah! > > > > This message is from the Mini-Gastric Bypass Mailing List at Onelist.com > Please visit our web site at http://clos.net > Get the Patient Manual at http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm > > To Unsubscribe Send and Email to: MiniGastricBypass-unsubscribe (AT) egroups (DOT) com
