Guest guest
Thank you to those who answered my questions about rashes, joint pain etc. Heidi, Like you, I have osteopoenia. It is linked with malabsorption over many years, I think. (It is a known high risk for coeliacs so it was thought to be part of the coeliac syndrome for me. Now that it looks as though the coeliac diagnosis was probably incorrect, I assume it is linked to pancreatitis in a similar way.) I think I will mention the pains to the GP although I suppose I'm a bit sceptical about what they can really do. I already have codeine for the pancreatitis, although I realise you were talking about some other therapies. Like you, I am finding it more difficult to open jars and bottles as my hands hurt, especially the thumb joints. My knees also hurt but, as you said, that could well be old age! I also quite often have have tingling etc. as well as pain in my feet. I have had this for a few years now and have been tested regularly for diabetes. I don't know what the cause could be. Obviously it's important not to assume that everyting one suffers from is connected with the CP but I was just speculating. Of course I could, and probably should, see the GP about it but I suppose I've had so much to do with docs recently that I don't feel much like spending more time with them than I have to! Thank you for your caring and thoughtful reply. I'll now think of you every time I try to open a (non-alcoholic!) bottle. Your candle-lit evening sounds idyllic. Of course, you could simply have hired your own musical ensemble. (You should perhaps keep an ensemble in a cupboard for just such emergencies!! No home should be without one!) Hope you are feeling well. Take care and thanks again. Fliss
