Guest guest
Hi Birdie, (sorry I don't know your name), What blood work did your doctor do that came back neg for RP? Sed rate for one? Just wanted to mention again (sorry all you oldies, but need to repeat this for the newbies), that my sed rate has ALWAYS been very low, like 1 or 2 even during a major flare. Sed rate is NOT a good indicator for diagnosing RP. My doctor even said this to me and several in our group have had the same results. There is NO blood test to diagnose RP. My GP went by symptoms alone to dx me and my Rheumy agreed with her diagnoses 100%. I don't remember reading if you have a Rheumatologist, but if you don't, please ask your GP to suggest one. Most people here have more than one autoimmune disease and it just might be that you have arthritis or something like that since you mentioned the pain behind your knee. That's where mine also started and I was dx with arthritis also. I'm not a doctor, so I don't know what your leg problems are, but you need to get it looked at as soon as you can. I am just relating your symptoms to mine. Please get a GOOD Rheumatologist and let him/her help you. That is the specialist you need. Good luck, W >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thursday morning (before I see my family Dr.), I have an appt. to see a Dermatologist, who saw me last July, (when both ears first became red & swollen), & who suggested RP, to my Dr., but said my blood work came back neg.
