Guest guest
Hey Marcy...we could be twins born from different mothers !!! :) I will be 52 twelve days after your b'day...I have extremely high trigs when not medicated....(carbs do it, wouldn't you know!?) and I am on Pravachol and Lopid...three times the normal dose to control both Chol/Trigs. My doc calls my hypertriglyceridemia " familial " only we can't find anybody but me with elev. lipids ! And I became a diabetic the beginning of this year after having had panc attacks since 1994...and have you ever tried to feed these two conflicting conditions?! Sheesh ! The panc wants nothing better than to have carbs, nice soft easy foods to digest, but the diabetes demands a very low quantity of carbs and manages better on lean protein and high fiber....<big sighs> !!!! It is NOT fun ! I have had FIVE panc attacks since my dx of diabetes which is more than I have had TOTAL in the previous 9 years ! It's nice to " meet " someone else who got panc from lipids as it's a little on the " rare " side and I feel like people look at me oddly when I mention it....
