Guest guest
I totally agree with all the replies to this so far. The one thing I will add, is that my hubby married me when I was fat (when was I NOT?) and has loved me more than I ever thought imaginable. I have NEVER doubted his love for one second. And all the girls he dated in the past, were SKINNY!!! So I know he ain't just one of those guys who likes Big Mommas! LOL BTW the 20th was our 6 year anniversary When I first started researching having surgery, he wanted to know everything. When I looked at the RNY he was VERY uncomfortable with it, but when I found the MGB, he was VERY comfortable with it. He did not want me to go through what the other offered. However, he made me sit down and have a long talk with him about why I am doing this. He wanted to make sure that it was not for HIM. My weight has never bothered him, but he sees everyday how much it bothers me and how sad it makes me. I also feel that it puts an unecessary load on him, both physical and mental. He has to pick up the slack in the physical dept. and has to constantly remind me that he loves me. He does that naturally anyway, but I feel like I expect the constant re-assurance. Lastly, he has made the comment that when I lose all my weight I am gonna find some studly Italian and leave him. And ofcourse I would go on Jerry Springer. I just told him, " Why would I leave the ONLY guy who ever really loved me? " When they love you fat, they REALLY love you! Keep your chin up, GOD will send you the right person!
