Guest guest
THIS METHOD IS FOR THE CHILDREN WHO CANNOT TOLERATE THE PROBIOTICS. Low and Slow Method : 1. It is easiest to start with a probiotic that is in capsule form, where each capsule is equivalent to 3 billion cfus. Two SCD legal probiotics that you might consider starting with are Kirkmans Acidophilus or GI Pro Acidophilus . Either of these is equivalent to 3 billion CFUs per capsule. ( If you choose to use a different SCD legal probiotic, you will need to convert the measurement so that you are starting with an amount of probiotic that is equivalent to 3 billion CFUs). 2. Mix 1 capsule (3 billion CFUs) with 1/4 cup of water, until the mixture is well mixed. This mixture will be referred to as the PROBIOTIC MIXTURE. 3. Measure out 1 TBSP of the PROBIOTIC MIXTURE. 4. Add the 1 TBST of the PROBIOTIC MIXTURE to 1/2 cup of SCD legal juice OR your child can just drink the 1 TBSP PROBIOTIC MIXTURE straight. By starting at this level, you will be administering approximately 750 million cells of probiotic to start. Once that level is tolerated, increase the amount of PROBIOTIC MIXTURE that you are adding to the juice ( or giving to your child straight) to 2 TBSP. Once that level is tolerated, increase the amount of PROBIOTIC MIXTURE that you are adding to the juice ( or giving to your child straight) to 3 TBSP. Once that level is tolerated, increase the amount of PROBIOTIC MIXTURE that you are adding to the juice ( or giving to your child straight) to 4 TBSP. At this point, your child will be tolerating 3 billion CFU capsule of probiotic. At this point, you can consider adding in goat yogurt. You should start with 1/8 of a tsp of goat yogurt.... If your child cannot tolerate 1TBSP of the PROBIOTIC MIXTURE,then you might consider trying 1/8 of a teaspoon or some other smaller amount.
