Guest guest
Sandy, the doctor I saw was also a teaching professor there, most of the doctors are, so that doesn't necessarily mean that Dr. Ostroff was high up. The doctor I saw (Dr. Cello), was considered the best physician for pancreatitis cases as my PCP at the time researched who would be the best specialist for my continued cases of pancreatitis and Dr. Cello was the one everyone said I should see. Dr. Cello is the doctor who diagnosed me as chronic just by looking at ERCP films that had been taken a year earlier. He also put me on pancreatic enzymes. He frequently goes to conferences and such on the latest pancreatic treatments. Also, my current physician frequent meets with Dr. Cello and several other pancreatic doctors to get advise on any difficult cases. I don't think Dr. Ostroff is one of those doctors. However, it is up to you if you would like to see him or not and I definitely understand your wariness over UCSF because of your treatment by Dr. Ostroff. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
