Guest guest Posted August 21, 2000 Report Share Posted August 21, 2000 Took my 2 y/o daughter to MD for her physical and found this recipe for a smoothie and thought I would share with the group. Purple Power Shake (High protein) 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp cold purple grape juice 1/2 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt 1 tbs vanilla-flavored soy protein powder 1 whole lemon 3 ice cubes 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries In blender, combine first 3 ingredients; process until smooth. Slice lemon in half; remove seeds. Over blender, squeeze both lemon halfs. Add ice and berries, blend until desired consistency. Serves 2: Each serving; 168 cal, 21 gm protein, 1 gm fat, 20 g carbohydrate, 1 mg cholesterol, 215 mg sodium. My sister and I are both hoping for surgery around the end of September. Let us know if you try if before we do. If anyone else had any good recipes for smoothies please post to the list.
