Guest guest
Finally! It's so difficult to just jump in an do your own dance when it comes to something as anxiety-producing as approval for the MGB. However, we MUST be educated prior to making the commitment to the MGB. It's not a " quick fix. " Unfortunately, some folks approach it as just another weight-loss attempt. Yes, it IS difficult to write a solid, well-thought out Patient Letter. And, yes, it IS difficult to get it right. The difficulties are built in to help us THINK about what we're proposing to do. Don't lose heart over this part of the MGB approval process. Take your time, think it through. This isn't just another prescription from our doctor or another diet sheet; this is darn serious, life-changing, life-threatening decision-making. It isn't supposed to be a cookie-cutter answer for one-size-fits-all. For our own good, Dr. R requires that we be educated and aware; please don't shortchange yourself by blindly copying someone else's Patient Letter.
