hello,

i am new here and will try to introduce myself with all info i can think of at

the moment.

i've been ill since around january, which is 2 months after i gave birth. the D

and urgency

didn't start out very bad at the begining, but i have been in my house almost

every day for

the last 2 months. about 6 weeks ago my dr. finally tested me for parasites,

found one

type and took flagyl to kill that. but the flagyl made me feel terrible. i

still took the meds

the whole time to make sure the thing was dead. and then after i stopped the

meds i still

felt bad and D was worse than before meds.

so on to the GI specialist. more tests showed that the parasite is dead. did

the

sigmoidoscopy which showed signs of u.c. he did biopsies to confirm and i will

get those

results back tomorrow. those will also be more accurate tests so we can be sure

the

parasite is dead.

so after hearing " possible u.c. " and not having any idea what it is, i of course

search and

search online and find out about all the drugs used to " help " the disease.

mainly because i

am still breastfeeding and want to know about safety for baby. and then finally

i stumbled

across the scd, and stuck to it strictly yesterday. (chicken soup, boiled eggs,

banana). but

i haven't been able to make the yogurt yet. i will be making it later today.

and the book

BTVC is on it's way.

i am still losing weight and am concerned about that...

and this morning i woke up feeling very weak in all my muscles. like they are

all tired.

this also concerns me.

i was wondering if anyone knows if the weakness is normal while getting used to

no bad

carbs?

thank you in advance for any info!

aloha,

heather

u.c... maybe. day 2 of scd
