I am so sorry that you had to endure such unprofessional treatment

by that nurse. As a nurse I want to apologize to you on behalf of

all the good nurses out there. That particular nurse obviously

needs a long vacation. I agree with Heidi and Sandy entirely but

would like to add that once you get your letter written send a copy

to the states nursing board, with all the documentation. They can

be an oppressive group. I hope that your feeling better soon and

that you never again have to endure such horrific care from a health

care worker. Unfortuneatly, there are far too many over worked,

stressed, underappreciated and bitter people in the industry. Try

to remember the nurses who treated you and yours well, the ones who

didn't see you as a condition but as the person you are. Then the

next time you receive compassionate, competent care let that nurse

know that you recognize the extra time he or she is giving and it is

appreciated. There are some excellent nurses out there that go

terribly unappreciated.
