Hi my name is and i have a few questions about Pancreatitis I know that all of them have been addressed before but with 50,000 plus post there was no way i was going trough everyone of them trying to find the right one! From what i have read you all seem very knowledgeable on the subject ok here goes my story/questions I am only 19 and had my first pancreas attack in november at only 18 years of age...out of what seems like no where...the days before i was getting my hair dyed and remember feeling this real 'uncomfortable' feeling down in the mid section of the left side of my stomach and BAM the next morning i woke up feeling like i had to vomit and the most severe stomach pain i think i have ever had right under where my breast bone is(that little 'V' shapped spot)...so i went to work anyways and had to leave to go to the hospital because the pain was that bad i was by now vomiting uncontrollably and nearly fainting from the pain...i went to the hospital and hours later the Doc comes in and asks me if i am a " alcohol abuser " or a " drug abuser " which i am nither and told me a had a severe pancreas attack and even though i was allergic to morphine they had to give it to me anyways along with something to make me stop vomiting....then they sent me on my way with out telling me why this happened or what i should do about it...they found i have no gall-stones or 'gall sludge' and with no drugs or drinking they said it was 'unexplainable' and that is was infact not normal for someone of my age to have an attack that severe....can anyone shine some light on why this would happen to me and what i should be doing about this and what is the standard procedure for emergency/normal treatment of pancreatitis? if anyone has any information that could help i would greatly appreciate that - Thanks
