Guest guest
Are you having a tougher time about what to eat since we were told not to have ANY fish? There is nothing about this in the most recent edition of BTVC which is less than two years old. Elaine never mentioned this to me during our extensive face to face discussions about SCD and I am not being presumptuous in thinking she would not agree with such advice! (Eliminating farmed fish does make sense) I use a lot of lamb chops and chicken, alternating them with shrimp, scallops and sole I get in big bags at Costco and occasionally liver. Yesterday I tried a turkey burger and it was just so so. I am going to continue to eat ocean caught fish because Elaine included it in " Allowable Proteins " , page 73, Chapter 10, edition 10 of BTVC and I don't follow DAN protocols. It doesn't seem to me that we should be cutting such things out of this diet when Elaine outlined the objective of ultimately adopting a wider and more varied menu. The idea is to restrict sugar and starch and anything that produces an anaphylactic reaction. Others will have to make their own decision about this. Carol F.
