Hi Guys,

I have not written in a while and I am quite behind on reading emails

and messages for the group. My mom came out from Montana to Mass.

to see Dr. Trentham at Beth Israel. He was so kind. He was so busy,

yet he made time for my mom. He decided to get her off of Cytoxan

(Thank God) and reduce her prednisone. He perscribed her a back-up

perscription for cellcept. I have been researching this on the

interenet and Cellcept seems so much milder than some of the other

drugs. What have you all found about Cell Cept? My mom was doing so

well but over a week ago we had to call the ambulance because she had

an infection in her lungs and she couldn't breath. She is home with

me now and doing better. But we were sooo scared. I get so angry at

this disease. I just feel like I never know what to expect. We know

that we let her infection go too long, so we will watch more closely

next time, but I am still so scared. She was in Falmouth Hospital on

Cape Cod for over a week and we were so pleased with her care there.

She goes on Monday for a check-up with the pulminologist and from

there he decides when she can fly home to Montana. They have her on

an oxygen machine for now. I do not think she will need this much

longer though. Anyway, I hope.

Like I said I am quite behind on reading your posts, and I am limited

on time here today, but I was wondering how Cathy Donahue is doing

with her dad. I think I have her name right. Last I check (way

before Christmas)she was taking him to see about stents. I spose I

felt I related so much to her, I just wondered if she would read this

or anyone who new if they could pass it on to me. Thank you.

I hope you all have a great new year and thank you again for all of

your support

Love,

Amber and Carol
