There is a difference/ support group and Foundation

Hi all, I think we need to clear up some things concerning the Support

Group and the RP Foundation. They are two entirely different enities.

They are not connected in any way.

If you contribute to the Foundation and belong to that site, you will

start to receive a Newsletter and any other news regarding the Foundation.

News

from Dr. Buckner will be posted there also.

The Support Group is just that, a group of people on line who support each

other and help each other get through RP and lifes daily trials. We share

our experiences and information on different meds. We are a great bunch and

I don't know what I'd ever do without all of you.

We are not trying to leave anyone out. We want you all to have access to this

information, but we have to try to make them separate like they are. It is

really hard to separate the two. We will post updates on the Foundation

every few months.

We will continue to share our information with each other as we are

now. Nothing will change in this support group except we won't be keeping

you informed on a day to day basis on the Foundation.

As I wrote before, the Foundation had a very successful first year and we

were able to donate to Dr. Buckners research. That was a major goal for us.

We will

soon have Brochures to hand out in drs. offices and anywhere else you want

to put them. We do need everyones support in this. If you want to join, but

can't. please let us know, we have angels out there who are willing to

sponser you. If you want to be a sponser, let me know. This is all

confidential. No one knows who the sponsor is or who is sponsored.

We should all be interested in making the public and medical professions

aware and to help in the research to find a cure. We run on donations

only. They provide for the postage, paper, Taxes, brochures, newsletters,

etc. This is all done voluntarily. No one is paid.

Please start the year off right by sending in your first donation to a

charity or Foundation. Make out your checks to the RP Foundation.

Ask all of your friends, family, and businesses to donate too. We accept

any ones money. LOL Lets try to get some big corporations involved.

We hope to make 2002 an even better year for the Foundation.

We will periodically send out information on how to join for the newbies and

anyone else who might want to donate. Other wise we won't be mentioning

the Foundation too much. By the way, any one who wants to volunteer to

help, please contact myself, Heidi, Lu or Glenda. We will take all the

help we can get.

If there is anything that you don't understand and I haven't made myself

clear, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that the two were totally

separate.

I also want to thank ALL of you in the support group. You are a very

important part of my life. Life just wouldn't be the same without all of you.
