Guest guest
I know exactly how you feel. I think the pred blows us all up big time. Don't worry about losing your mind. My dr told me my brain was falling off it's shelf. haha.. He was serious.... a good excuse for my memory lapses. (grin) I'm glad you are finally with us. You will fit right in. Like I said before, ask all the questions, vent, rant, rave , cry all you want. There are alot of shoulders to lean on here. And alot of people to make you laugh. We like to do that alot. Can't wait to get to know you better. hugs

Guest guest
--- thanks for putting up with me. For some reason the post sign was never under messages. Are at least I never saw it. But like I told you the Dr. said that with high predisone one of the symptoms is losing your mind, and thats one we will never know. I have already done that.HAHAH Just ask Kim. She is ready to have me committed she said. I havent left my house except to go to the hospital, Dr. and a couple of times to Kim since OCT. and I am going crazy. The pred blew me up like an animal and I was to embarrased to see anyone but mainly just to sick to even leave my room some days.Have a great weekend. Guest guest
Hi , and welcome to a great group!! I have been in the same boat as you, just diagnosed about 2 months ago, dealing with high levels of pred, which I haven't tolerated well - along with other meds which have all been fighting each other! I'm just now staring to feel sane again after been house-bound since early Dec, but I really started getting sick in Sept (just too stubborn to acknowledge it). Dealing with a changing self-image isn't any fun either, it's hard to accept what this medicine does to the way we look, but exercising as much as we are able has really helped alot (and has generated a challenge to raise more $ for the foundation! - if you didn't know about it, we all put small change in a container every time we do even a little exercise, and will remind us after 3 months to count it up and donate it to the foundation ... it was her great idea! ) Anyway, it sounds like you are still struggling, and I hope you will feel more like yourself again very soon, we're all here to help you in any way we can! And thanks for posting your picture, it is beautiful. The picture I posted was from My oldest sons' wedding. Hang in there, and stay in touch! From one of your new friends, Carol G Re: Hi from --- thanks for putting up with me. For some reason the post sign was never under messages. Are at least I never saw it.
