Now that I finally know how to post a message I can personally thank

each and everyone of you for all the prayers and concern you have

shown to my family. Especially to my daughter Kim who has been my

angel through all of this. I was diagnosed with RP in August 2001

with burning red ears.Then my nose and throat started hurting , then

I started having trouble breathing. I ended up in the hospital in ICU

on 1000 units of predisone by iv for 4 days then I stayed a week in

the hospital.I stayed on 280 pred for over a month then he gradually

lowered it by so much a week. I ended back in the hospital with my

blood sugar over 600. I am now on insulin shots and the high sugars

have affected my eyesight and sometimes everything is blurry.Thats

the reason why I havent written sooner. Also all my joints hurt

especially my fingers and it is hard sometimes to type. I am using

the dollar glasses from the stores just to read.HAHA I am 47 and this

has

sent me into menapause also. I am on cytoxan and am also going

bald.Thats one of the hardest things I am dealing with mentally. Oh

well I guess it could be worse. Kim wrote to Dr. Trentham and found

Dr. Spindler in Houston for me.So far he seems to be helping. Last

couple of weeks my throat started hurting real bad and I am having

some trouble breathing again. I have been off the predisone for over

a month and he doesnt want to start me on anymore right now. I take

Singular, and inhaler, Bextar, Cytoxan, Nexium and some other things.

Oh well enough of my problems.I told my Dr. I didnt have time for

this disease he need to give it to some other patient that didnt have

anything else to do.HAHAHA luv to all, NANCY
