Guest guest
Hey there.. FIRSTLY, Happy Valentine's Day to ALL...: ) I am hoping it was a good day for all. I wanted to share with everyone the results of a fundraiser I am trying to incorporate throughout the year to help the PAI . Karyn the first Basket (I made a Valentines Basket for those who are curious and raffled it off at my place of work for the PAI.) was the talk of the town. It certainly also helped to make a lot of people aware of what PAINcreatitis is. The total proceeds from the Basket were $600.00 half goes to another charity of a women I work with she raises it for the firefighters in the area because her brother in law drowned a few years ago, and she is giving back to help others. The other half to the PAI......I am very happy to say we raised $300.00 for the PAI and its just a start! I am now working on a St. 's Day Basket that will be raffled off in March. I think after raffling this basket I will go over what I raised for the PAI last year at my yard sale/raffle which was $450.00. My hopes are to make a basket for every occasion and send all the proceeds to help the PAI. I think if I can make just one more dollar than last year then I have achieved what I set out to do...: ) I call the money I make from the raffles " PENNIES FROM HEAVEN! " For ONEDAY I pray these pennies can help bring a slice of heaven to all and rid everyone afflicted with this horrific illness nothing but painfree and happy days! I wanted to share this all with you and Karyn at the same time for I feel it benefits us all. Karyn please send me the id# to my email so I can get the check in the mail..: ) I look forward to the next symposium and have already looked into flights so I can be there again this year! Please tell Tull I am sorry for all he is going through and I am glad he is feeling better, he is definitely in my thoughts and prayers. And as always all he can do is take it as we all do " ONEDAY " at a time. As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling (cuz sometimes its all one can do!)..TTFN>.. : ) Peg Bates Brwnbare9@... Massachusetts State Chapter Rep.
