Guest guest
Animals that are carnivorous do have shorter intestinal tracts but, the other reason that they are able to break down the proteins eaten in the form of animal flesh into usable amino acids so quickly is because the digestion of that flesh protein began's it’s breakdown with the secretion of their saliva. Carnivorous animals have vast amounts of hydraulic acid in their stomachs to breakdown the large volumes of animal flesh eaten. This is not the case in animals that are plant eaters. Humans by GOD’s design are created to consume much more vegetation than animal flesh foods. Having said all of this, humans can consume animal flesh foods and still be healthy. ALWAYS balance your intake of flesh foods with lots of vegetables, especially non starchy and green leafy veggies. The fiber and enzymes (from this type of vegetation) will aid in digestion of the animal flesh food that you are consuming. Try to eat a salad or some non cooked vegetables with all meals especially ones containing animal protein. For creative ways of adding non cooked foods to your diet their are many RAW foods books that you can purchase. I like " The RAW Gourmet " by Nomi and " RAWSOME " by Brigitte Mars. Yes, potentially any food that stays around in the digestive track too long will began to ferment and spoil. Animal proteins are much more difficult for humans to digest than plant foods so always take a digestive enzyme supplement. Only foods that are in the whole food form with no heat applied to it still has its digestive enzymes intact. Cooking foods above 118-120 degrees KILLS all enzymes. Enzymes are very sensitive to HEAT. This is why it is important to eat something alive in it’s whole food unprocessed form everyday ( with each meal it possible) and to take digestive enzymes in the form of supplementation with or between meals. Also, eating foods that are RICH in probiotics and a good probiotic supplement will greatly aid in over all digestion. RAW Sauerkraut is an excellent food to add to your diet. It supports beneficial intestinal flora. If you are interested I would be happy to post instructions on making the Sauerkraut or a variation on the Kraut using some other vegetables besides cabbage.
