Guest guest
Hi all the skin being pale can be related to vitamin K levels being low as it relates to having blood counts.More blood makes for more blood to the skin giving it more color. If they are low on K they also bruise easier. Also vitamin D helps we usually get some from the sun but not enough so they add it to milk so we get enough. Also Genetics plays a part in skin color.I have 8 kids my background includes Irish-ish-and Cherokee,my hubby is of European -German-Scandinavian (possibly some native american not sure which tribe)5 of our kids have brown eyes but only two of those have darker skin -I also have brown eyes and so does my hubby he is blond .I am darker and have brown/black hair. both of my CF kids have blond hair but one has blue eyes and one has brown eyes (we have three blue eyed kids one of which has darker skin and hair) Both sets of grandparents have blue eyes and we both have sibling that all have blue eyes and pale skin no CF) .Both of my kids with cf have lighter skin and the better their diet is and vitamins (ADEK's) they do get a little tan. When Rebekah is having lung issues she is as white as can be so I have to believe it also goes with oxygen issues too. I don't know if this helps or not.BeckyB.-Mama to 8 kids and Nana to
