Guest guest
, Thank you for your comments regarding CT-scans. Since I have already had 16 CT-scans in the last two and a half years, one more is hardly going to make a difference, except for the excessive cost, and the fact that I am just sick and tired of them!! Doctors at this particular hospital think nothing of sending someone down to radiology for a CT-scan, to them it's as common an order as a request for bloodwork! But they are expensive here, over $5,000 each time, and I have a lifetime insurance cap that is slowly being eaten up with all these tests and procedures. I want to make sure there is enough left over for any extended hospitalizations or expensive surgeries that may come in the future. Indeed, the radiation cannot be good for anyone....I tease now that I've already been exposed enough to light up Canada! I'm beyond the age where protecting my reproductive organs is necessary, hahaha....but that is good advice for any of our younger members. Thanks for your advice.
