Guest guest
My son is very high functioning ASD. Would have lost diagnosis, except for sensory overload issues. He is 5.5 years old, and his need for intense sensory stimulation (banging into furniture, running around like a hyper little gnat) is getting worse. He has never been more hyper in his life, but he is very alert and articulate. I'm thinking it is yeast. But, I do not see the usual signs that I look for. No floating stools, no yeasty breath. However, his tongue seemed " coated " this morning. Does this sound like yeast? Or a food sensitivity issue? We never really did the intro diet because his bms were pretty normal and regular. I know we have had some infractions along the way. So, I'm going to start over with the intro diet. I am thinking about dropping all supplements including Methyl B12 injections. Starting with a clean slate, and adding one thing back at a time, even supplements. We've been dairy -free for 3.5 years, but I was thinking about trying to introduce dairy at some point this time. Is dropping supplements the right thing to do? How long should I wait before re- introducing them? I'm going to start with boiled eggs, diluted juice, and I'll try to get him to eat the soup. Any reason not to offer fizzy water with juice from the beginning? Thanks for the help. Amy
