Hey there...

Welcome, although saddened to hear of another child afflicted with this

illness, I am glad you have found us, for here one knows they are truly not

alone. My name is Peg, I am from Massachusetts, my son Brandan had the TP/ICT on

Aug 12, 2002. My son was diagnosed with Idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitis with

pancreas divisum in 2000, although now knowing hind sight is 20/20 we think

our son had always suffered with PAINcreatitis as I always called it all his

life. He had been misdiagnosed for many years. I know of a young boy named

Joey who also had the pancreatectomy the same year as Brandan who was then 11

Brandan was 16 at the time of surgery, Joey is pain-free and living a normal

life, Brandan although living with residual pain has improved greatly since his

surgery and is NOT diabetic. I would be happy to answer any questions please

feel free to email me directly since sometimes I don't see the posts right away.

As always all anyone can do is take it " ANDY " at a time. As always keeping

you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling(cuz sometimes its all

one can do!) TTFN.. : )
