Guest guest
I once had to use soy milk for a few days when I had home care. I could not take anything by mouth I had an IV at home for pain control. Time went by and I didn't realize that I had not had anything by mouth for at least 8 days not a sip of water not an ice cube or anything. Then I slowly started with water and progressed to soy milk ( it has alot of protein, and no fat) I mixed it with a meal replacement called REVIVAL which is made for people with cancer and is a protein supplement drink, I would think anyone could use this to make cream of wheat, use in oatmeal, or anything eles where a person would use milk. I had also bought the chocolate form of soy milk, it is good to use with a meal to increase protein intake and not consume fat as one would with milk. I also liked to heat it in the microwave and make hot chocolate with it. I had severe protein malnutrition in the summer and fall of 2002 and was trying the best I could to come up with alternative forms of protein. Like most people with protein malnutriton my hair was falling out and I had muscle wasting and was very ill, I managed to reverse it in less than 6 months. Hope this helps someone out there.
