Guest guest
In response to your post, my pain has always been right sided (back pain) and that is typical of pancreatic pain, I did intially have some lt side back pain but that switched quickly. When I wake up my entire back hurts if feels like my spine is breaking. If your physician doesn't feel like you have cp what is their explaination for your pain, don't let them try to talk you out of pain, I had a pain management Dr. once who told I had muscle pain and needed trigger point injections, I was at the end of my rope at that time, my husband spoke up and said " We are never going back to that quack " I had tried to tell her that my diarrhea was out of control and that the lomotil was not working she ignored me I ended up in the hospital a few days later it took 6 liters of fluid to make enough urine for a urinalysis, I should have been in renal failure I was so dry, my potassium was so low that it had effected my heart rhythm my ekg revealed that I had experienced 2 heart attacks( It was not unusual for my potassium and magnesium to be low and need bolus') but this time it took 3 and I was having seizure activity. Your complaints of pain with activity are exactly like mine, sometimes all it takes is the placing of my foot down when walking it feels like getting slammed in the back with a sledge hammmer with every step. Sometimes it is with stupid stuff for example I was volunteering at our church out pastor was giving out ink pens for those that have done special jobs for him in the church and I was rolling them in a little note and tying it with ribbon the repeative activity was enough to cause the pounding pain. I have found that since I had the intrathecal pump put in I can handle short periods of activity usually no more than a few hours and then I have to take breakthrough pain meds, I use actiq transmucosal losenges, they work well for me.
