Hi , all, Karyn had this same problem (pill form of dilaudid not being effective), and when she mentioned it to her doctor (internist), she mentioned that her body probably wasn't able to absorb the medicine in pill form very efficiently, and so prescribed it for her in LIQUID form. Guest guest Posted March 17, 2004 Report Share Posted March 17, 2004 For me,Dilaudid only works for me (pill or IV) if I am given fentanyl (patch or IV) at the same time. Somehow the combination works better for me than either of them alone. But then, my body has been known to have weird reactions to medications. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
