Guest guest
Wow, let a couple of weeks go by without checking e-mail and it really piles up. I have several comments though the threads are old now... I am one of the " lurkers " who only posts a few times a year. Still I feel very connected to all of you. Mark, thank you so much for all the valuable information. I am one who initially used the Top 5 Library quite a bit, but have been spoiled since you give us new information in the posts and I often print these for my files. I really appreciate the latest information you posted on Doctors and Prescriptions. Very interesting. As always! You are such a wonderful resource for all of us. Thanks. Heidi, I was worried when I read that you were turned down for SSI (bad stress) and your grandson was visiting (good stress) and then nothing... so sorry to hear your computer was down, but I'm glad that's what it was and you're not in the hospital or flat on your back. Hope you are enjoying a wonderful visit with Austin. I took a pointer from you and when I had an ultrasound not long ago for another problem (not the pancreas) I asked the tech if she could show me where my pancreas is. Wonder of wonders, the tail of the pancreas (where the initial acute pancreatitis showed up) is where I feel pain - on the left. The head of the pancreas is just a touch of right of center and I never have right-sided pain (an no gallbladder problems.) Heidi, I always get something beneficial from your posts. You are an inspiration to me. I work in a Legal Aid office where we have a number of clients who were initially turned down by SS and we represent them in the appeals process. I can only repeat what others have posted - don't give up. What the attorneys tell me is that it all comes down to what the doctors have put on paper. You need to see everything and make any necessary corrections (and there will be wrong information - we all have heard about that, right?) It sometimes comes down to which doctor the Hearings Officer believes or wants to believe. Again, don't give up girl. To everyone, I am so grateful for those of you who take the time to help others, answering questions and greeting the " newbies. " While I'm not online much myself, I really enjoy and appreciate what I've learned about all of you. You have helped me tremendously. With warm aloha, in Hawaii P.S. The weather is too unpredictable on the East Coast - all get togethers should take place in Hawaii, specifically on Maui where I am. So all you Carolinians and Mid-Westerners and everybody, come to the Islands!
