Guest guest
My son will be going on antibiotics long-term for Lyme Disease and cannot take pills or capsules. The commercial premade versions of Amoxicillin and Zithromax for liquid suspenstion have artificial color, artificial bubblegum flavor, sucrose, and I know not what else in it. Has anyone on the list gotten a compounding pharmacy to make a SCD-legal suspension? Do you think it's worth it? If it were a short course for an acute illness such as strep throat I probably wouldn't bother, but this will be for a long time. Or could I just add digestive enzymes and hope that they won't interfere with the antibiotics? Thanks for any advice, mother of Adam (7, PDD-NOS, Lyme, hypotonia, asthma, egg allergy, SCD beginner)
