Guest guest
Dear MGB Westerners and Upstaters: I've received about 15 replies to my notice for an MGB support group in our area, and everyone sounds eager to start. I'd like to be a member of this group because I really don't have anyone in my town that has a clue about this surgery. (Some think I've had cosmetic surgery!!) In trying to determine the meeting place, I'm trying to accommodate people from Charlotte to , SC to Lenoir to Asheville. So bear in mind that we'll all have to drive some distance occasionally, if this group meets on a regular basis. I would like for the group to include postops AND preops. I also thought that the weekend might be better for most of us. I myself am flexible, but those with 9 to 5 jobs probably aren't, and I'd like to have as many people here as possible. It may wind up that people who live closer together or who have similar schedules will meet more often, but it would be great to get a group together for some meetings. Please vote on the following, and send your replies to me. Based on your answers, we'll determine the first meeting place and date. 1. I'd like to meet on a. Saturday, Sept. 9 for a late morning and lunch b. Sunday, Sept. 10, for an afternoon/early dinner meeting c. A weekday around those dates (please say when) 2. I'd like our first meeting to be held in a. Hickory b. Shelby c. Asheville d. Statesville e. some place else (please name) 3. I'd like our first meeting to include a meal at a local restaurant a. Yes b. No 4. I'd like the format for our meetings to be a. open forum b. a talk by a post-op, followed by questions and answers c. something else (please indicate) Okay! Send in those ballots! Looking forward to hearing from you, Blair bjenk23768@...
