Guest guest
I am looking at my bottle of Pancrease MT 16 (that last number signals the number of thousant usp units of lipase): Lipase: 16,000 units Amylase: 48,000 units Protease: 48,000 units In most of the enzyme combinations, the number of usp units of lipase is one-third that of protease and amylase---for whatever reason There are no other enzymes added, such as lactase, betalain, etc. Lactase would cause diarrhea in a person who was NOT lactose (milk sugar intolerant), so that is why it is not included. I actually had a cf doc tor who was sure that lactase was included--probably did not due to well at chemistry in college! You can look them all up on the web: Creon Ultrase (has numbers as does Pancrease) Generic Lipram is equivalent to one of the formularies of Ultrase Pancrecarb, which includes sodium bicarbonate; some people take that with another enzyme supplement. Love to all at cfparents, Enzymaticly yours, n Rojas
