Guest guest
Hello, not very pleasant to discuss but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about this ; I'm at the " in the kitchen 24/7 at the moment " phase, it's getting better but I definitely don't have time to sort out Jay's food and also do a decent vegetarian meal for myself. I haven't eaten meat in over 20 years by the way, so I have decided to compromise at the moment and eat the soups even though they have meat stock in them. Without going in to too much detail my bm are telling me that I am not digesting fats, obviously the meat ones , and of course after all those years how could I expect my body to have the enzymes to deal with meat anymore, so my question is what should I do about this? any advice would be really appreciated, TIA Josie (mama to Kai (5 NT), and Jay (ASD 3) and partner to peter we're doing SCD but can't do intro until we see Dr. Natasha Cambell McBride
Guest guest
Dear JOSIE, Since vegetarian is not truly " fat " free, I wonder if something else is going on? Maybe it is more about adjusting back, slowly to eating animals fats. Could take some time to adjust back since you are 20 years vegetarian. But honestly would not know what to suggest to you. Could you try SCD compliant LIPASE enzymes with each meal to ease this transition? I would buy just the lipase separate though. Other enzymes not needed like, Amylase (enzyme for starch) not needed on SCD diet since it is monosaccharide only. Protease often upset the lining of the intestines with some of us who have injured guts, and Elaine did not like it's use because of this. I also suggest go by the intro in the BTVC book before you see Doctor, this will give you a jump start and show you sooner than later, that it works by the book. By the time you see the doctor you will all be on your way to healing. Believe me....we talk about poop all the time on this serve and other gross things lol!!! Hope this helps, Antoinette and (both celiac) parents to -4 celiac/adhd KIKI-celiac/asd and Bubbles hyperekplexia/ALL SCD 2/
