Guest guest
Use the boppy headrest for the car seat. Its two concentric circles and I think helps with brachy. I used it for day naps until my son was 6 months. Needless to say I started using it when he was 5 months when I couldn't stand the plagio and brachy. I truly think it is due to her crib mattress being too firm. I just bought the Symmetry Sleep System for her to begin using on her side. However, I know that she can not use this forever. I was writing to see if anyone had any suggestions for a good crib mattress for plagio/brachy concerns. Also, any suggestions for repositioning techniques for the car seat? We are going for a consultation and will be in the car for an extended period. Thank you, Amy
Guest guest
I can't help with the crib question. For the car, you may want to get a different car seat. The infant seats recline more and put more pressure on the back of the head. We have an evenflo careseat that also works for infants. It doesn't recline as much. Alternatively, there is a product out there that can be used for a car seat that is supposed to help with this. I've seen links to it online various places. You could try googling plagiocephaly sleep product or something like that. Or, maybe someone else knows what I'm talking about. If I could do it again, I would have bought this product. is now too old for this (which is why I don't remember the details). , mom to , 19 months 18.5 weeks in STARband plus CST land Repositioning advice, Crib Mattress suggestions Hello,My 4 month old has developed brachyocephaly.
