Dear MOM in SWFLA:

Welcome aboard!

One question though: since you're a singer do you know if MGB surgery will

affect your singing voice? I ask because this surgery is a 'shock' to the

endocrine system, and I thought this might have an effect on vocal abilities.

If this is a potential change, maybe. AT LONG LAST, I will be able to carry a

tune, since I can't sing a note now.

I'm not too worried about it... just by going by what Carnie said

(who's had GBP surgery and is a singer), she said the surgery actually HELPED

her singing by taking so much weight off her diaphragm and allowing her to

hold a note for a longer period of time. :o) That's almost scary, too,

cause I can already hold a note for a pretty long amount of time! <G> (I'm

LOUD, too.. LOL My dad calls me 'fog horn')
