Guest guest
Hi Debs, I am on Clonidine as well. My Endo prescribed this for me for an entirely different purpose! Isn't that odd? He prescribed it for me to help control the abnormal night sweating pattern that I have from the diabetes. I, too, was sweating so much each night that I had to get up two or three times each night to change into dry clothing. It was wrecking any hint of quality sleep for nearly a year and all of my doctors tested for various causes, i.e.; hormone inbalance, medications, low blood glucose, infections, etc. None could find the cause until I spoke to my Endo. Since it began when I started taking insulin, I thought perhaps it had a correlation to the diabetes or the insulin. My Endo said that some diabetics have an abnormal sweating pattern, and that the Clonidine might help control that. It has made a significant improvement, BTW. Upon checking the drug site, rx.list.com, all I found for Clonidine was that it was used for hypotension, which I don't have at all. But it has helped me with the sweating problems, so I continue to take it for that. It's nice to wake up in the morning wearing the same thing that I went to bed in...hahaha! Spring has begun here in the South and I woke this morning with deep hoarseness in my throat, with throat, nose and eyes congested from my allergy to the pollen that has invaded us these past few days. It's a catch-22, we open our windows to let in the fresh, spring air after having everything closed up all winter, and in comes this heavy pollen that leaves a yellowy-green film on every surface!!! I'm allergic to this, and azaelia's as well, so will be hibernating inside for the next month or so until all are through blooming. You must be starting your autumn season? I hope all is well with you, Debs. Did you already go on your trip or is that coming up soon? With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
