Guest guest
" I strained the coconut milk afterwards using a regular wire strainer. (Note: I tried to use a paper coffee filter and it did NOT work). " The mesh strainer will work as long as it is a very fine mesh. Otherwise, it would be best to put a tea towel in the strainer first to keep any small pieces from making it through. The coconut I buy to make the milk with is from a company called " Let's Do Organic " . It's the shredded coconut. It's very, very tiny pieces to start with and it works just fine in my blender. I saw it on Amazon for $17 for 12 bags of it (6 lbs). You could probably also use the coconut flour from Digestive Wellness, but I have no idea of the price on that.
