Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to this group. My little guy has been wearing a band for almost 4 months. He's just over 8 months old. His flat spot hasn't completely filled in, but has made huge progress. No one would notice anything at a glance. I am ecstatic with his progress here! He's almost grown out of his helmet now, but there's been no improvement to asymetry in the front, and his ears are still miss-aligned. The neurosurgeon last week said a lot of positive things about his appearance, but said that whether he wore a band for another couple of months or until he was 5 years old, there would likely be no more change, or so minimal that it probably wouldn't be worth it. Does this make sense? Is it just because the face is hard to fix? No one has ever told me about asymetry measurements. Is anyone else here receiving treatment in Canada? Each appontment, I keep pointing out changes that I'm expecting to see in his face. I'm feeling frustrated. I want to do everything I can while he's still young. Just need someone to talk to I guess...
