Guest guest
Did anyone have to write a letter to their employer to get approved my so called insurance co said " We have received the appeal for services denied on the basis of " services or procedures for the primary purpose of weight control or reduction " being a specific exclusion in the employers plan document. While we cannot dispute this condition does cause other health problems we have no choice but to deny the proposed gastric bypass by Dr. Ruteledge due to this specific exclusion. Therefore, the denial will stand. Based on the ERISA Rights, you do have the right to appeal this denial. You will need to submit additional appeals in writing to the home office. They gave me the name of the lady to write to and the address. If you had to do this, can you tell me what you would put in the letter...How much do I spill my guts? I do think I need to write them, do you? Dave in Kentucky
