Guest guest
I work for blue cross blue shield. Do not wait. Normally, even if a request is filed its still denied. 8 times out of 10. More than likely, you will have to file an appeal later on your own behalf. Do not wait and let precious growth time slip awaySent via BlackBerry from T-MobileFrom: "amy.alday" Date: Tue, 14 Apr 2009 19:00:37 -0000<Plagiocephaly >Subject: Wait for Insurance or go ahead w/ treatment? My husband and I have decided to go ahead w/ the DOC band for our 4.5 mo daughter (moderate brachy, w/ plagio, and mild tort.) However, our insurance (BSCS NC) currently does not recognize CT as being in network; therefore, they will not provide any coverage. I was told by BSBC NC that the insurance coordinator at CT can apply for a request for in-network services. This process can take up to 2-3 weeks (assuming all of the paperwork is filed correctly). Do you think that we should wait for the approval/denial or go ahead w/ treatment? We will do the band no matter what the insurance decides. And we were told that they cannot say whether or not going ahead w/ services will affect our request for in-network coverage. Anyone have experience w/ this situation (request for in-network services)? Thank you all for all of your wonderful support! Guest guest
We took a loan out for my daughters band this morning. We have Bcbs and they wont pay either. I am getting a letter from her dr stating it is a medical neccesity. Is there a chance they will pay after I appeal once? angela mom to olivia 5.5 months plag brach and left tort > > I work for blue cross blue shield. Do not wait. Guest guest
There is always the chance with the appeal. Sometimes it takes a second level appeal, but you gotta not give up! I hate the fact doctors don't think a helmet is necessary!Sent via BlackBerry from T-MobileFrom: " whitley" Date: Tue, 14 Apr 2009 22:06:28 -0000<Plagiocephaly >Subject: Re: Wait for Insurance or go ahead w/ treatment? Guest guest
-Thank you. We went to have her dsi today and ct said they would not even bill my insurance because they were told its an exclusion. Therefore I have to do the whole thing. I went ahead with the scan and treatment for my daughter. It did make me feel that they are more about the money. She said they wont file because there would be no payment however I need them to file so I can get a denial and appeal. Im sorry just needed to vent. Im sure it will work out in the end but I will file myself and get the denial no thanks co ct. -- In Plagiocephaly , mommy2jaylina@... wrote: > > There is always the chance with the appeal.
