GlendaHi, Carol,When I was first diagnosed with RP, I also had the eye involvement. Mine was diagnosed as scleritis in one eye and episcleritis in the other eye. My eyes were bloodshot, hurt like the devil, my eyesight changed, the pressure in my eyes changed for the worse and any kind of light was intolerable. I kept the window curtains closed and absolutely didn't turn on any lights in the house. It was not comfortable in any way; however, treatment with pred eye drops seemed to clear it up over several weeks. I now have my Ophthalmologist (sp) check my eyes every six months routinely.
