Guest guest Posted August 13, 2006 Report Share Posted August 13, 2006 I hope someone can help. We have been 100% SCD legal. I'm sure we've improved digestion. The problem is that I just discovered that my boys have gained no weight in the last 6 months. I sat down and tried to figure out calorie content in what they are eating and I'm shocked we haven't lost weight! They are 2.5 so I worry about what this is doing to their brains since their bodies aren't growing and I feel like the worst mother in the world--like I am starving them. So my husband is telling me we need to reintroduce millet. I don't want to do this and I believe in the principals behind this diet but I agree we don't have enough foods with calories. We can't do dairy and we can't do nuts/seeds. My boys are eating mostly vegetables, limited fruit (yeast issues, no honey for that reason either), eggs, and meats. I use coconut oil and rice bran oil and ghee in cooking.
