Guest guest
Hi to Everyone, I hope this finds everyone doing well today!! It has been a while since I have posted but am in need of some information/advice and I know from past experience that I can count on this group to help me out. I have several questions, so please bare with me... I flew out to see Dr. Trentham and he changed my medications so that is what my first set of questions pertain to. He took me off of Methotrexate and put me on Arava. After researching this medication I have concerns about the side effects and the recent warnings that have been posted about it. I am also having trouble understanding the benefits it would give to a person with RP-- especially someone with my primary symptoms which are Tracheal and Cardiac Involvement. So, I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is taking or has taken Arava and what their experience has been with it. I am also on the waiting list for Enbrel, so I would also like to hear from anyone who has taken both medications. I am also trying to find information from anyone who has experienced calcification of their trachea and tracheal cartiladge. My X-ray that was taken in January showed this and I am having difficulty finding any information about it. I would greatly appreciate any information that I can get. Please e-mail me back at angelhearts61@... since I am still off mail!! Thank you, Kathi _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

I read recently exactly what causes it but can't remember (and can't find the info at the moment); as I recall it relates to the intestines' handling of/reaction to inflammation.n-- Now available. Guest guest
Randi,My husband has UC and he had the mucus as well. It part of the normal layering next to the intestinal wall--a kind of protector. When there is irritation the body produces more to protect the wall. It can produce so much that it inhibits absorption too. My husband always saw it as a sign of deterioration in his condition.I would also get your ferritin checked (storage iron).AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 20 monthsLDN 3 mgTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sat, February 20, 2010 4:23:57 PMSubject: Information please I am questioning if Crohn's is soley to blamed for the state of my health.
