Guest guest
Hi all, I don't post often, but I try to read everything. This group is so helpful when it comes to great information. Well I guess for those of you who want to stop smoking, my first bit of advice is don't tell anyone right away. When I stopped a few years ago, I didn't mention it to anyone. I had just made up in my mind I would take one craving at a time. This way if I failed, like at dieting, noone would have known and I was only looking at me for support. No one asked me one million times, ARE YOU DYING FOR A CIGARETTE?, HAVE YOU GIVEN IN YET? Things like that. Now don't get me wrong, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done and it wasn't the first time I had tried to quit. But I asked God to help me and He did, and I beat my poor husband to death. HaHa. When I finally told him, he let me get away with that for a few more weeks when he told me that was enough, get a grip. I know you can quit, it is hard, but it can be done. Just take it like you do life, ONE AT A TIME. Now for all of you that have CIGNA, I am in the same boat. They are getting really cute now. I went to my PCP (the greatest alive) and my diagnosis was obesity. They sent me notice that they denied paying my office visit. Still trying to get in touch on that one. I did not think they could deny a routine office visit with my PCP. I have faith that I will be approved and all will be well. My biggest hurdle will be writing the paper for Dr. R, as I don't really enjoy writing, but this paper will be worth it. I have met the good doctor and was pleased and can't wait till I am in his capable hands. Well, I guess I have rambled enough. For those like myself who are waiting, keep the faith. For those on the other side, THANK YOU for all the time and effort you put in to help the rest of us in our quest. , Trish, Flo and so many others, always engaging and very funny.
