The speaker there had said that basically you want to have pain at 3 or under. Anything more than that is considered uncontrolled. If I got that wrong...please correct me y'all! I am not able to be in social activities much beyond a 4 or 5, nor have I ever been moaning uncontrollably,but had pain at 9 or 10. When my teeth are chattering because of the pain, it's time for IV dilaudid.
