Guest guest
Hi All, It's come to my attention lately that quite a few of our members have forgotten to edit their replies when answering another person's post by carrying through the original post, and even other replies, when they respond. It is recommended that we delete the bulk of the post or posts that we are replying to, and just include a brief summary of the initial post, instead of just hitting the " reply " key and sending it all through There are valid reasons why this is discouraged. Many of our members receive their PAI mail in individual emails or a daily digest, and this repetitiveness means that they have to read the same message over and over again, thus taking up valuable space in their mailboxes. Another reason that this repetitiveness is discouraged is that all our posts are archived for our future reference use, and it puts a massive strain on the archives to have duplicate, or triplicate information that keeps carrying on and on through the archived messages. I know we are all anxious to respond to certain messages that are written to us, or that we have information to contribute to. Yet if we can take this extra step to edit our replies, it will greatly improve the whole message process, and enable us to have a much cleaner archive system. Thank you all for your help in this bit of housecleaning. If anyone doesn't understand how to do this, please feel free to contact me. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
